Academy Pet of the Month
Dinah Huff & Toffee!

This year we’re hoping to feature pics of students and teachers with their pets.

Send us your pet photos (preferably with you) and if we feature yours in the newsletter, we’ll give you a
$25.00 gift certificate to the Columbia Arts Academy! Dinah has won $25.00 in free retail!

E-mail them to alexis@columbiaartsacademy.com

This month we’re featuring CAA student Dinah Huff & her dog Toffee! Toffee is an adventurous six-year old Lhasa Apso who loves to go surfing! He grew up in a tropical island in the Philippines and spent most of his afternoons digging out crawly
creatures in the beach or swimming in the ocean. Toffee has just moved to Columbia and is excited to meet new friends.

BIG Dates for 2012!

We’ve got a lot of great things coming up this year so please mark your calendar for these important dates:

• CAA Student Party at Jillian’s!
Sunday, March 25th, we’ll have a free party with live performances by our rock band students and raffles for great prizes
including a free YEAR of lessons at the CAA.

IMPORTANT: If you want your child to participate in the rock band recital, it’s open to any guitar, voice, bass or drum students ages 10-18. The deadline for participation is February 1st and it’s only $99.00 per month. Call Alexis for more info 803-787-0931.

• May Recitals at the USC School of Music
Sunday, May 6 and Saturday, May 19.

We had such a great response from the CAA parents that we’re headed back the USC School of Music in May and December:

• Christmas recitals at the USC School of Music
Saturday, December 15th and Sunday, December 16th.

The USC Recital hall is a beautiful facility and the CAA is the only private music school to host their recitals there. All recitals are free and all inclusive for CAA parents! You can bring all of your family and friends for free.

If you’re new and you want your child to perform in the May or December recital, please notify your teacher asap. Also tune into the February news for important details on how the recitals work and how your child can take part.
